Benefits of consuming less Dairy!

It is estimated that around 65% of the world is lactose intolerant in some kind of way, whether it is in the form of bloating or nausea. There are heaps of benefits of minimising your diary intake, including reducing the risk of hormone based cancers and clearing up skin conditions such as acne and eczema.

Some facts about being dairy free:

  • Your bloating is bound to get better. Digesting lactose causes an excess of gas, meaning that your inside swell up.

  • Lactose has a large quantity of natural sugar meaning that cutting out dairy can result in weight loss.

  • Milk and other dairy products can lead to your skin becoming congested. Being dairy free is known to clear up acne and other skin conditions such as eczema.

  • Dairy is high in hormones which have been known to increase chances in getting certain types of cancers such as breast cancer, prostate cancer and cervical cancer

Here at Noah’s Ark, we use soy based products, meaning that all of our milk teas contain our soy based creamer, rather than regular creamer. This means they are easy on the stomach and won’t give you a tummy ache from a high dairy content. We do not recommend these then soy-based tea for vegans or individuals with an allergy to dairy as they contain 4.8% of Sodium Caseinate (a type of milk protein). If this is an issue for you, we recommend getting our fresh-fruity drinks instead as they contain no dairy products and are delicious.

All of our toppings (except for the ice-cream) are also dairy free and vegan meaning you can customise your drinks however you want without risking contamination.
