Bubble Tea, also known as boba, is a Taiwanese drink that originated in the 1940s. It started as a combination of sweet milk tea shaken with fresh fruit, topped with the world famous black tapioca pearls. The hand shaken element is called Shou Yao, and is an essential to even modern day bubble tea shops .

Although bubble tea was definitely well loved, it only started gaining traction in the late 80s, when bubble tea icon Tu Tsong started experimenting with different flavours of tea and a chewier version of tapioca balls.

Since then, bubble tea has exploded all over the world, with new innovative flavours coming out each year. At Noah’s Ark, we supply our community with both traditional and modern bubble tea flavours. We range from the old classics such as tea Original Milk Tea and the Taro Milk Tea, to our creation ranges such as the Spring Lab and Tokyo Skyfall.
